In 2011, Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales put together a great rendezvous for Sabre and Back Cove owners. The event took place in Cambridge, MD at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, a convenient location for owners from both ends and sides of the Bay. We are pleased and amazed at how this event, which is held every other year, has grown over the years. We have had as many as 30 boats and 70 people with some coming from as far away as Hilton Head, SC and every event has surpassed the last in attendance.
NEWS: As the new flybridge Sabre 54 Salon Express gets a redesign for 2013, the Sabre 48 has been the flag bearer for Sabre with 30 48's sold in the last year and a half. The newly redesigned 42 Salon Express continues to be popular. Introduced at the Annapolis Boatshow 2012 was the all new Sabre 38 that features two sleeping quarters along with the Volvo IPS drive system. Already Sabre is getting rave reviews for their ingenious design in the 38 and have proven success with their innovative designs on the other Sabres.
Since Back Cove Yachts introduced their successful Back Cove 37, they have been redesigning the 33 into what is now the Back Cove 34. The company is always striving to improve and the new 34 shows just that. This past year Back Cove came out with a new 30 footer, in place of the 29, that is more in tune for extended cruising. The next design on Back Cove's plate is an open concept 37 "Chesapeake" with a large open cockpit that leads into the open helm deck with 2 L-shaped dinettes in opposite corners. She will still retain the comfort for the cruising couple but will be the go to vessel for entertaining and fishing. All of these vessels fit the cruising family lifestyle.
