This summer, Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales put together a great rendezvous for Sabre and Back Cove owners. The event took place in Cambridge, MD at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, a convenient location for owners from both ends and sides of the Bay.
Great weather, good friends and some wonderful meals mixed with some words of wisdom from Back Cove’s Jason Constantine about new and exciting undertakings at Sabre and Back Cove, as well as Adam Morris from Midshore Electronics with all the latest updates in Marine Electronics, made for an all around fun and informative Saturday. Many donated prizes were won by many that made the evening even more enjoyable. Sunday had a great turnout for the Raftup in Tripps Creek. The Bloody Mary’s and Ceasar Salad were enjoyed by all. (Thanks to Jamey on “Free Style” for being the anchor boat).
What's New with OBYS
As the new flybridge Sabre 54 Salon Express remains the Flag Ship of the Sabre line, the newly redesigned 40 Salon Express continues to be popular, all eyes are now turned to the new Sabre 48 Salon Express and her Annapolis debut this fall. Sabre Yachts have proven to be most successful having introduced many new yacht designs in the past few years. This fine new yacht offers the new Zeus power system along with two huge sleeping cabins with their own ensuite heads with separate show stalls and a luxurious salon that opens out to a large cockpit with comfortable seating.
Since Back Cove Yachts has introduced their successful Back Cove 37, they have been redesigning the 33 into what is now the Back Cove 34. The company is always striving to improve and the new 34 shows just that. This past year Back Cove came out with a new 30 footer, in place of the 29, that is more in tune for extended cruising. All of these vessels fit the cruising family lifestyle.
Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales had a very successful Rendezvous this past July 30th. We are pleased and amazed at how this event, which is held every other year, has grown over the years. We have had as many as 30 boats and 70 people with some coming from as far away as Hilton Head, SC and every event has surpassed the last in attendance. This is our way of thanking our owners for their trust in our company.
